SPRING: A FRESH START
Spring is the season of new beginnings. It is a time of transition, where we begin to feel a sense of newness. Unfortunately while nature may be in full swing; Easter is going to look very differently this year. The year 2020 was challenging to say the least for families.
Quarantine has impacted our children’s abilities to learn, disrupted sleep schedules dramatically altered daily routines, decreased opportunities to exercise, and minimized socialization. And while many of our
traditional celebrations have been canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic; Easter doesn't have to be one of them.
— OUR COMMITMENT TO OUR COMMUNITY —
The majority of the areas Guardians of Love serves unfortunately have the least amount of access to fun, safe and unforgettable
holiday activities. This year we’re working to change that. Guardians of Love and Los Angeles Mission hosted our fist annual Easter Eggstravaganza to include not only foster aged youth but all children that need us in the Service Planning Areas we serve. Children and their accompanying family members were directed to pull up to our drive-thru set and engage with Easter themed scenes from the safety of their cars. Our team of fun and festively dressed Easter Bunnies were there to greet the families alongside their cars and load the numerous donations directly into the trunks of their cars for a completely contactless delivery.
